Step four: Smooth edges that are sharp

Now you need to get a little ‘princess while the pea’ about that task. Until you make happy noises, it’s your comfort that matters if you’re the one who’s going to be strapped to the spanking bench and whipped. Therefore spot the polyurethane foam over your table top and bend over it as then see if you can feel any lumps/bumps/sharp edges/gaps in the woodwork through the foam if you’re about to get banged.
