A bounty-hunting pig finds himself traveling the world with a free-spirited elephant he intended to capture. Images of Bill the Cat from Berkeley Breathed’s Bloom County comic strip can be seen as one of Hitpig’s bounties and on a makeshift parachute. On one of the Vegas billboards, the Lord of the Leaper is referred to as JP. JP was the name used for this character throughout production before being changed to his current name. If this movie doesn’t win an Oscar I don’t know what will, the movie is both heartwarming and funny. Lately all the animated movies have been horrible money grabs but this one is not, the writing is incredible. I had to pause the movie several times to cry… in other words it was incredible. Everyone in the room was thirsty for the main character aka Hitpig. This movie is a hit, check it out if you’re looking for a fun animated movie about a pig or something. The heartwarming relationship between Hitpig and Pickles had me in tears, I love them so much. The ending was really sad, it’s sad when a movie this good ends… I hope they don’t milk it to death with sequels and stuff like that.
